     Sandra Jo Ridge, 64, of Peoria Heights, passed away at 12:49 a.m. on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
     Her Funeral Liturgy will be at 7 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 2016, at Clary Funeral Home, 3004 West Lake Avenue in Peoria, with Fr. Thomas E. Taylor officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
     Sandra was born on May 20, 1951 in Peoria, a daughter of James E. and Betty N. (McDaniels) Aberle. They preceded her in death. She married Leslie Joseph “Les” Ridge, Sr. on June 5, 1970 in Peoria. He survives.
     She is also survived by her son, Leslie J. “Les” (Erika) Ridge Jr. of Washington, IL; daughter, Teresa (Tony) Schafer of Wyoming, IL; grandson, Benjamin Ridge; granddaughters, Charissa (Robby) Musser and Jessica (Scott) Legg; sister, Karen S. (Rick) Leeman of Deer Creek; brother, James J. Aberle of Oklahoma; and five great grandchildren.
     Sandra was a Licensed Practical Nurse for The Lutheran Home in Peoria. She was a parishioner at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Peoria Heights and a member of Peoria Heights VFW Post 2602 Auxiliary and Abbas Grotto in East Peoria.
     She loved going to garage sales and the movies with her sister. She was a devoted St. Louis Cardinals Baseball fan and loved spending time with her family.
     Memorial contributions may be made in Sandra’s name to the American Diabetes Association.

This passage speaks of the resurrection of our loved ones. It is not God's plan to see us suffer and die, so He extends the following invitation to us: "Come near to God and He will draw near to you" (James 4:8)
